Review: Epistick Facial Hair Remover

DIRECTIONS: - Bend the stick into an inverted "U" and place it against the hairs you want to remove. Hold the handles, twist the stick in opposite directions. The hairs are trapped between the tightly coil spring which grips and removes them in one swift movement.

REVIEW:  I have been wanting to try the Epistick for quite awhile now. I have upper lip hair and blonde hairs on my face so I was looking for an alternative to waxing.I decided to do some research on the epistick and read reviews on it. A lot of users recommended it saying that it's fast, painless, and works well. So I thought what do I have to lose. I decided to go on ebay and found five for $3.29 with shipping included. It took about 14 days before I received the product. I must say the first time using it, it hurt. My face was also red. I would definitely recommend using it after taking a shower. Despite the redness and pain from using it for the first time, I would highly recommend it and will continue to use it.

  • Super cheap
  • Quick to use
  • Actually works at removing the hairs
  • Convient to pack for travel
  • No chemicals, or anything harmful for your face

  • Painful
  • Only for facial hair
  • Doesn't remove all hair (may have to go over several times)
  • leaves face red after using

  •  Pen size and light weight, take it wherever you go!!
  • Removes hair root for long lasting hair-free complexion
  • Original threading facial hairs remover, no pain!

RETAIL: I purchased mine off ebay for $3.29, shipping included,  if you would like to purchase click here

REVIEW: I received the Chi 1" digital flat iron two years ago from my amazing boyfriend for my birthday. At the time the Chi did a really good job and I was very pleased with it.

In the past few months though, I have been very disappointed. It doesn't seem to work as well as it use to. I have tried putting the temperature to the highest setting, and even putting the temperature to a setting in the middle.  It just seems to damage my hair more and more. I have thick, long hair and I'm looking for something to cut the time it takes to straighten my hair and to add shine and make hair silky soft.

PROS1 year warranty, can be used to curl or straighten hair, swivel cord that doesn't tangle.
CONS Creates frizz, doesn't glide through my hair easily, doesn't cut down my straightening time.
PACKAGING: No complaints.
OVERALL:  This iron retails for $134.95, with free, same-day shipping. It can be purchased here A one year warranty is included. This would be a great straightener for someone with thin short hair but I'm looking to get rid of the Chi and move on to a better straightener.

What is your favorite straightener??

Review: Bikini Kitchen Booty Butter Tanning Lotion

"Bikini Kitchen’s all-natural Booty Butter Tanning Lotion is perfect for babes of all shades who desire a stunning summer glow. It can be worn along with your favorite SPF lotion, which we highly recommend, and you’ll still see amazing results. Our all-natural suntan lotion is really potent stuff – so if you’re a fair little mamma, you may want to limit yourself to an hour in the sun your first time. "

DIRECTIONS: Shake well before applying.

  • Hawaiian Kukui Nut Oil – This potent Hawaiian “secret” bronzes all skin tones quickly.  It is also excellent for the skin as it moisturizes while you tan.  In fact, since it is a skin-healer, many use it for dry skin and psoriasis.
  • Kona Coffee Extract – The natural acids in the coffee soften the skin and revitalize circulation.
  • Soothing, Moisture-Rich Mix – Boot Butter is super moisturizing, combining Aloe which soothes and nourishes the skin, along with Macadamia Nut Oil and Light Mineral Oil so your body glistens with moisture.
  • Antioxidant Vitamins A, C and E – Vitamin A helps form new blood vessels, which give the skin an attractive, rosy glow; Vitamin C fends against damage caused by the sun; Vitamin E protects the epidermis from early stages of ultraviolet light damage and reduces the severity of sunburn.

REVIEW:  Last week I received a 1 oz sample of Bikini Kitchen Booty Butter Tanning lotion from a promotion I won on facebook. I wanted to share my thoughts with you. :)

  • A little goes a long way
  • Absorbs quickly leaving your skin soft
  • Allowed for a deeper bronzed tan
  • Contains natural ingredients
  • Good for all skin tones
  • Very moisturizing
  • Very smooth application with no streaking or discoloration
  • Water resistant
  • Works great with a normal lotion with spf

  • The lotion was quite greasy. I was a tad fearful of rubbing up against something and the "bronze" color rubbing off or staining my clothes. The plus side of the greasiness is that my skin still felt moisturized even after my shower!
  • Took longer than an hour to see results.

  •  Water resistant for you bathing beauties!
  • A Great Bug Repellent so no bugs bite your booty!!
  • Absolutely NO animal testing

RETAIL: 1 oz sample $6.95, $24.95 for 8 fl oz,  and can be purchased here

Review: Beautisol Summer Glow dark self-tanning lotion

"Beautisol Summer Glow dark self-tanning lotion is the perfect product for anyone looking for a deep, dark tan fast! "

DIRECTIONS: Exfoliate your skin in the shower using Beautisol’ Go Slough Yourself-Dual Action Scrub, pat dry and apply a light body moisturizer to dry areas such as the ankles, knees and elbows, if needed. Put on a tight-fitting pair of disposable gloves to prevent palms from turning brown. Apply a liberal amount of Summer Glow evenly to each section of your body, starting with the lower portion and working your way up. Allow the product to dry before getting dressed and, by all means, stay away from the water until your tan has developed (about 6–8 hours later). The longer you keep the product on your skin, the deeper the tan will develop. To build an even darker tan, reapply the next day.

INGREDIENTS: Aqua (Water), Dihydroxyacetone, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Caprylic/ Capric Triglyceride, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Candelilla/Jojoba/Rice Bran Polyglyceryl-3 Esters, Cyclopentasiloxane, Citroflex 2, Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Erythrulose, Phenoxyethanol, Aleurites Moluccana Seed Oil, Caramel, Caprylyl Glycol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Lonicera Caprifolium (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Phytic Acid, Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate (D-alpha), Fragrance/Parfum, Blue 1, Yellow 5, Red 33

REVIEW: Beautisol was kind enough to send me a generous sample for review. I love self tanners and I'm always looking for new ones to try. The first thing I did when I received my package was open the bottle to smell it. It smells so good. The ingredients are superior. I'm impressed with the lack of chemicals in this product. The self tanner itself, is a deep chocolate brown. It's tinted which makes for easy application. The formula is light weight and very easy to apply. The drying time is anywhere from 5-10 minutes. Apply at night and shower off in the morning and you will be amazed with your golden tan. It will look like you just came back from Hawaii!! Overall, I think this is one of the best self tanners I have tried so far. I will be purchasing a full size bottle.

  • Gives an immediate bronzing effect so you look tan and gorgeous instantly
  • Provides a long-lasting, natural-looking dark tan
  • Moisturizes & nourishes the skin with anti-aging properties
  • Helps hide skin imperfections
  • Innovative Pure Scent odor eliminating fragrance technology reduces the unpleasant processing odor by up to 80%

Allow to asborb until dry then wait 4-6 hours for maximum tanning results. Shower with gentle cleanswer and do not "overly scrub" skin. Apply Solerra Drench Post-tan moisturizer daily for longest tanning effect.

REVIEW: I was very anxious to try this self tanner out so as soon as I received it I tried it out that night. I made sure I exfoliated very well before spraying the self tanner.  The self tanner itself, is a golden caramel color. It absorbs quickly with a light golden color guide. A little goes a long way with this spray. It is a tad bit greasy but nothing that would discontinue me from using. Also I personally don't care for the chemical scent. A big plus is the drying time. This product doesn't take long to dry and you can get dressed and go about your daily or nightly routine. Overall, I really do like the self tanner and could deal with the scent. It gives a great golden tan the next day after washing off which I really love. The tan will last you anywhere from 5-7 days.

Enriched with Vitamin E • Neutral Scent • Fast Drying• Non-streaking

RETAIL: $23.99 for 5 fl oz / 150 ml and be purchased here
